Nice depiction of confession of the heart, with routine procedures of Drizzlepath and the game developer himself, walking simulators.. wow this "gam" is bad.. literally no gameplay except for holding W to go forward or pressing Q to auto-walk through a boring environment with occassional short text read by a girl (whose voice is literally the only good thing here).. I should have just leave it minimized to get cards instead of trying to play it. Let me begin by saying, I do not mind games that are slow paced, and allow you to explore at your own pace. I love games where you explore abandoned worlds, but I want to explore, and have interaction with the world. However, this game was not that. This game was interminable (even the short path). To make matters worse the voice acting was horrible. The narrator speaks in a never-ending droning voice which made me want to walk off the nearest cliff and end it all. At one point in speaking of a childhood friend, the narrator speaks of "sweetly suffering his platitudes." If suffer she did, she decided thereafter to inflict those same platitudes on everyone else, or at least all the players of this game. The game strikes me as being written by developpers who did not have the creativity or imagination to create a truly interactive world. Or even a slowly evolving story that you discover for yourself. Exploration adds nothing to the storyline, and the storyline is like a badly written scifi. Pros: really can't think of any big ones. The scenery is pretty, but it's pretty monotonous aftter a while. Graphics are okay, but not nice enough to make the journey worthwhile.Cons: bad voice actinguninteresting storyso-so graphicsno true exploration, or interaction with the world (there is an interaction key, don't be fooled you use it ONCE).Since the graphics, story and voice acting are all you get, they should be stunning, but they are not.. A truly enjoyable game, I will highly recommend it.. DRIZZLEPATH: Genie a beautiful relaxing walking simulator. The mix of the real and magical merge together effortlessly in a huge environment. It has that quality of when you go out on a perfect walk where nature just seems to talk to you with all her beauty inspiring and invigorating you with energy, hope and acceptence. The spoken female dialogue is poetic flowing freely giving added depth and life to the world all about you. I found myself gazing at the mountains and skies as i heard her eloquently spoken words which described that unseen quality we all sense on a new spring day so perfectly. DRIZZLEPATH: Genie a walking simulator to be experienced because words will never do justice to the blissful joy which permeates radiates from the essence of its being.. Normally, I like a good walking sim; and, while this is very pretty, it is not a good walking sim. The story, and I use the term INCREDIBLY loosely (even by walking sim standards), would struggle to be called threadbare. The voiceover is painfully stilted at best. And the world has nothing in it to engage with.I'm sure it's got an audience, but that audience is not me.. crashed as soon as i clicked new game, could not figure out how to remap keyboard, will try the game at a later date maybe, maybe. 15 minutes of my life i'll never get backThe unskippable cutscenes.... The terrible voiceover... The inability to run! Absolutely tedious2/10. Drizzlepath Genie, like it's predecessor, is a walking simulator where you walk along a path. The story and some poetry (and rain) are drizzled along the path as well as some art. The story as well as some of the poetry is narrated by a fresh and young but soothing voice, this time around however it is fully subtitled. The music is very nice and quite diverse, it facilitates a sense of relaxation. The difference with the previous game is that there are two paths to chose from and differ quite reasonably in tolerability. The problem with this game is that the content is spread very thin as you are supposed to enjoy the environment along the way. Except the scenery, props and textures become repetitive very soon, this isn't at all helped by the fact that the walking speed is very, very slow... I will reccomend this game with caution as the art, poetry and music can be appreciated, but the game does overstay it's welcome due to them being stretched far and few between. So I will conclude with a warning:WARNING: This game can only be appreciated by true walking simulator fans who have enough patience.
